The Burke and Wills hotel was an eclectic design that featured a corner tower and turret with an undulating faceted facade. The building overlooked the Queen Victoria Federation celebrations arch at the turn of the century.

This building has been destroyed (1927)

The grand old Burke and Wills hotel was demolished in 1927 to make way for the T&G tower, a most worthy substitution.
