Built in the Edwardian period in the Art Noveau style
A stunning composition of Art Noveau, freestyle classical and Art Deco elements with a giant entry arch. A central Roman statuette grotesque dominates the roofline. The building is crowned by a classical Greek temple motif in true theatrical fashion.
This building has been destroyed (1950~)
Demolished to make way for the Centrepoint shopping complex.
