An elaborate composition in a wedged shape eccentuating the unusual site of the junction and focussing on the corner tower which originates in an oriel and terminates in an eclectic Italianate / Mannerist spire with the elegance of Second Empire France. Meticulously detailed, a trademark expression of the Melbourne Boom Style.

This building has been destroyed (1960~)

Demolished along with over 150 buildings in the region of the St Kilda Junction to make way for new underpass and bypass road construction.  The building was still standing for a short time after the construction.
