Built in the Interwar period in the Beaux Arts style
An elaborate arts and crafts building with art noveau, art-deco, mannerist, baroque and Chicagoesque motifs. The deep cornice is supported by fanciful scroll like eaves brakets giving the building an frivolous and delightful tone. The attic storey has a smaller cornice and expresses the vertical spandrels of the buildings construction by indenting the string course to show the main load bearing points of the frame. The parapet features art noveau sign writing.
