Notable featuresThe unusual composition of the present building is enhanced by the fine two storey cast iron verandah. The superb late nineteenth century reception room with fine stained glass, timber panel and fittings and unusual medallions is of great importance. The house is an outstanding feature of the East Melbourne area. HistoryPortion of Elizabeth House, 86-92 Wellington Parade, may date back to 1855 when Crawford Brothers erected a ten room brick home with outhouses on this site for J D Pinnock, noted public servant, politician and banker. Additions were made in 1866 and Pinnock occupied the home until his death in 1875. In 1888 it was owned by K E Brodribb, a soliciter who undertook extensive additions to the House. Architect:
