Notable features

Built in three stages from around 1912. The next in the 1925, where two storeys were added, and the final stage, taking the building up to the Elizabeth Street corner, in 1934. The first stage was designed by Grainger and Little. The second and third were designed by Stephenson and Meldrum. A combination of palazzo, chicagoesque and art-noveau details.

This building has been destroyed (1970~)

This building was destroyed around 1970 to make way for the Galleria Plaza shopping centre and State Bank Tower (now Commonwealth Bank tower).
