Built in the Edwardian period in the Edwardian Baroque style
This building, framed in reinforced concrete for fire protection is significant as it was the first building to house Commonwealth public servants and the Prime Minister. Fitted out in English Baroque Revival, a rare style, the building is sympathetic to the neighbouring designs of Treasury Place.
