Built in the Victorian period in the Mannerist style
A highly decorative mannerist composition with an undulating and complex facade crowned by a series of large urns and a mixture of pediments. A notable building for its use of asymmetry, italianate oriel, and round windows toward the top of the facade. Of the mould of the surviving Block Arcade and RESI chambers.
This building has been destroyed
Demolished in the 1970s for a medium sized brown brick office tower which was itself demolished less than 20 years later to become a 3 storey shopping complex.
