Built in the Forties period in the Functionalist/Moderne style

Notable features

Stepped plain building without ornament. Used contrasting vertical and horizontal glazed elements for emphasis.

Once housed the Grierson Cinema in the basement.

History

Architect: Percy Everett

This building has been destroyed (1998)

Demolished during restoration works in the Treasury Precinct. The building was not deemed worthy of preservation.
