Notable features

The mansion faces Alma Park West, rather than Chapel Street, with a porte cochére to the south. Both elevations are asymmetrical, in a late Italianate manner. There is a ballroom with an orchestra balcony.

 

History

Built for Sir John and Lady Madden.

The porte cochere was destroyed by a fallen gum tree in a storm in 2005, but later rebuilt.
