I went out and took a look at the old St Paul's boy’s home in Newhaven this week.

It's a nice old building that has been disused for 8 years.

It's owned by a school in Knox and will be turned into apartments in 2013 as the Knox school could not afford to turn it into a campus as they had wished.

It's in an amazing location looking over the water to Churchill Island.

The spouting has all but rusted away and the gardener that I spoke to said that all the smaller buildings are going to be knocked down but the main section is going to be gutted so only the facade will be left.

You can freely walk around the property as it is not fenced off or signed.

The gardener seems happy to talk about it’s history.

The photo in the OP went haywire so I replaced it with a clip I shot at the boy's home a couple of weeks a go.

The school that own it are still having trouble finding a buyer.

Went back and it was actually unlocked.
Some of this clip contains footage from the clip in the OP.

No worries.
Sadly the place is getting vandalized now that they have gotten rid of the caretaker. The church bell has been stolen :(
