Walking Melbourne Guidelines
Revised 14 June 2016

We generally like to let people post as they like, and Moderators prefer to live peaceable lives and not intervene. However, time and experience has shown that some guidelines are necessary and sometimes we must intervene in threads.

We ask everyone to live within these guidelines and the general confines of politeness and sociability when in the Walking Melbourne forum so we can all get along and feel free to post even more comments. Thanks to everyone who co-operates.

1. Moderators will moderate according to their own judgment, even when no guideline exists.

2. We will be easy going, but highly offensive avatars, sigs, quips, pictures and comments will be removed. Highly offensive usernames will result in the membership being deleted without discussion; you'll have to join again with a more acceptable username.

3. If you're a new member be aware that your first posts are held before being released for view, so don't get upset when your new posts don't appear in a thread right away. Your later posts will appear in threads immediately.

4. Please don't start your posting career at Walkiing Melbourne with worthless or meaningless posts; such posts may appear to be spam and be deleted with probably banning. Don't link to other sites if they are promotional or irrelevant to WM; they will be removed by a Moderator.

5. We are open to robust discussions in the threads, but this is a "family friendly" website, so think PG rating.
