Some photos from a recent and too-brief trip to the other side of Bass Strait.

Salamanca Market, Hobart...

Image

A random street scene in Battery Point...

The Aurora Australis dwarfs its neighbours...

Image

Launceston looks purty in the morning...

Image

... and at night...

Image

Not too shabby in the middle of the day either...

Image

At Aurora Stadium you can get close to the action...

Image

... but the parking can be a bit awkward...

Image

If you just go to Tassie for the urban life, you're missing out. The scenery is amazing up the mountains...

Image

Most of the critters I spotted were road pizzas, here's a live one...

Image

Got to get around to stitching a few more landscape panos. This one's @ Mersey Bluff, Devonport...

Image

Still got a few hundred more shots to go through, will post some more when I get a chance.

The best stuff you have ever posted, Muggles!
You really seem inspired when you leave that shitty side of Melbourne you seem trapped in.

Fantastic shots Mugley ... Tassie is so inspiring photographically. On my first trip there, on a two-week driving holiday, it was easy to take a roll of film a day. (And now with digital cameras, you don't have to save up to get the rolls of film processed and printed!)

Cheers, Walker

Thanks guys.

I still get more inspiration here in the shitty end of Melbourne - the cheap showiness of nature just can't compete :)
