The first episode of
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries was shot on location in and around
Ripponlea and the Windsor Hotel were Miss Fisher was staying temporarily.
Then in the second episode Miss Fisher buys a new house which happened to be
Wardlow at 114 Park Drive Parkville. Most of the filming of the second and third episodes has been shot in and around
Wardlow.
To my horror in tonight's episode the characters were in the kitchen of
Wardlow and one of them missed the dart board and the dart landed in the door frame. I don't think this was a special effect no matter how many times I rewound and slow-motioned the film.
The third episode was also filmed inside
Como House and
Donkey Wheel House.
Labassa hasn't been seen in the first 3 episodes but there are 10 more episodes to come.
I have enjoyed watching the scenery behind the actors and our household plays the game of "guess where that was filmed" - great locations some authentic and some are not-so-authentic, like last week's episode where the actors were standing at Spencer Street Station of the 1920's (probably a station on the Castlemaine line).
