Should be interesting, historical area, would prefer older and more ornate frontage though :-\

Heavens! There's plenty of scope there, in theory at least. The glaring addition of the Marseilles tiles on the roof is particularly distasteful.

Top find KarenJ. I totally know that row and have always thought it has huge potential for restoration. Have taken numerous pics of it. Its a blank canvas, but hopefully they do a better job this time. Nothing less than reinstatement of the original features will do.

Would be very suprised (or maybe not) if it weren't in a heritage overlay, which would kind of limit their scope a bit. Will have to check.

Was sold with development plans and permits in place, including four third storey extensions and permission to reinstate original balcony facades (Domain).

Original balcony facades would be nice -- might give them back some character

I'd prefer reinstatement of original features too.

I live in a heritage overlay area myself, can be limiting, but worth it for retaining the historical character of the area.
