I don't really want to get into your opinion on whether it's worthwhile or not, but if you believe it deserves to be completed with the intended dome, then please sign here.

Regarding the cost, the stone to match the existing building "comes from The Grampians, now a National Park. I am sure Greenies and others would object the old quarry cranking up for this ? To finish the building to original plans would be the optimum idea but modern construction techniques could be used to save cost without making a sham copy of the grand plans." A great idea mentioned by another supporter of the dome. It can't hurt the city to have it completed, in fact, in the long term, it would be an asset and obviously make money. A great investment for the city.

The petition is here: http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/melbourne-citizens-australian-citizens-architecture-aficionados-finish-melbourne-s-parliament-house
