Hi all! I found some old images of Clarendon Street, South Melbourne from between 1988-1999 and it's amazing how the area is almost unrecognizable today!

The first image shows us Coles supermarket around 1995. In the second image, we see the BP petrol station; I don't know exactly when this photo was taken, but I'd guess around 1997-1999. The old "BP shield" logo means it can't be any newer than 2000. There's also an advertisement for "ZIP" on the wall - this might help narrow down the year if anyone knows what it is?

Finally, in perhaps the most drastic change - we see Clarendon St facing south in 1988, with the old tea building on the right. Everything else is gone! "Southern City Ford" on the left has been replaced with the Crown Complex. There also appears to be a very large round-a-bout which is now gone! If anyone has an old Melway I'd be interested in knowing what street is intersecting with Clarendon in that round-a-bout.
