Found a few interesting photographs taken in 1958 by architect Noel Belcher who was working for the Department of Public Works when he took these pictures of the library during the work to cover the state library's dome in copper sheeting.

Interesting, I wonder if any of the copper sheeting remains after the recent restoration?
