Mannerist

Circular windows or motifs - A dead giveaway of this style.

Unpainted stucco.

Load bearing brick construction.

Rustication, pilasters, Palladian motifs, broken and segmented pediments, undulating facades, belted columns.

Mannerism was a popular expression of Italianate architecture in many 19th century office buildings, most of which have since been destroyed.

Melbournes best remaining examples of high Mannerism include the RESI chamers and Block arcade, both on Collins Street
